ACADEMICS
At Janki Children Academy, education is a journey of discovery, curiosity and personal growth. We combine strong academic foundations with creativity, character and confidence.
OUR ACADEMIC PHILOSOPHY
Education at Janki Children Academy goes beyond textbooks and examinations. We encourage students to understand, question, explore and apply what they learn.
Our academic environment is designed to help every student build strong foundations while developing creativity, confidence, critical thinking and independent learning skills.
With dedicated teachers and a supportive school community, we strive to create meaningful learning experiences that prepare students for both academic success and life beyond school.
OUR JOURNEY
From a Primary School established in 1992 to a Senior Secondary institution, Janki Children Academy has continued to grow while remaining committed to quality education.
Janki Children Academy opens its doors in Kunj Vihar, Banjarawala, Dehradun. Beginning as a Primary School, the academy established its foundation around quality education and caring relationships.
Growing enrolment and academic development led to an upgrade to the Middle School level, allowing students to continue their education within the same supportive community.
The school was affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, as a Secondary School with effect from 1 April 2005.
The academy was upgraded to the Senior Secondary level from 1 April 2011, completing its journey towards a full K–12 educational institution.
ACADEMIC STAGES
Each stage of education brings new opportunities and challenges. Our academic approach evolves with the needs of our students.
The early years focus on building strong foundations while developing curiosity, confidence and positive learning habits.
Students are introduced to greater academic depth while developing independence, communication and analytical skills.
Students prepare for greater academic challenges while strengthening conceptual understanding and examination readiness.
The Senior Secondary years help students prepare for higher education, competitive examinations and future career pathways.
Learning extends beyond academic subjects through activities that develop creativity, teamwork and confidence.
Students develop the personal and social skills required to become responsible and confident individuals.
HOW WE TEACH
We believe students learn best when they are actively involved in the learning process. Our teachers encourage students to participate, question, explore and apply their knowledge.
Students are encouraged to participate actively through discussions, activities and classroom interaction.
Learners are encouraged to analyse information, ask questions and develop independent thinking.
Art, projects and creative activities allow students to express their ideas and imagination.
Real-life examples and activities help students connect classroom knowledge with everyday experiences.
ASSESSMENT & PROGRESS
Assessment is an important part of learning. It helps teachers understand student progress, identify areas that require additional support and encourage learners to continue improving.
We believe assessment should not simply be about marks. It should help students recognise their strengths and understand how they can develop further.
Regular monitoring of academic progress
Identification of individual learning needs
Teacher feedback and guidance
Examination preparation and confidence
Encouragement of continuous improvement
HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT
Academic achievement is one part of a student's development. We provide opportunities for learners to grow intellectually, creatively, socially and personally.

Encouraging imagination and creative expression through artistic activities.
Building teamwork, discipline, fitness and perseverance.
Helping students communicate their ideas clearly and confidently.
Developing honesty, empathy, integrity, respect and responsibility.
Supporting students as they discover their strengths, interests and aspirations.
PREPARING FOR TOMORROW
The world our students will enter is constantly changing. Along with academic knowledge, they will need adaptability, communication, creativity, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
Our aim is therefore to prepare students not only for examinations but also for life beyond school.
